Delivery Terms & Conditions

WHEN CAN I EXPECT MY DELIVERY?

Deliveries will normally be made within 7 days of the date of your order, depending on availability of stock. This may be longer in extremely busy periods. We are unable to offer timed delivery slots. Our main delivery day is a Tuesday, however in the busy spring and summer period, and for the Christmas tree sales period, additional delivery days will be added. Deliveries are not available on a Saturday or Sunday.

WHERE WILL MY DELIVERY BE LEFT?

Our charges are based on individual items being able to be handled by one person. If your order needs more than one person to deliver it, or is made up of a number of items, we may need to charge extra.

To prevent personal injury or damage to goods or property, we can only deliver to a convenient location for our vehicle and staff and leave it on a safe and accessible area of hard standing. This is generally the nearest Kerbside / roadside point for heavy items, or front door. The exact delivery point is left to the discretion of our delivery team who have the right to refuse requests which put them, others, delivered items or customer property at risk of injury, danger or damage.

Customers are responsible to ensure that there is suitable, safe and adequate access for items to be delivered. The route to the delivery location must be clear. Items delivered to a point beyond the kerbside are delivered at the customers own risk. This includes damage to property and personal belongings.  All such requests need to be made at the point of purchase.

WILL YOU ASSEMBLE MY ORDER?

Delivery doesn’t include assembly, installation or planting etc. In some cases, goods may be delivered in flatpack form. It may be possible to arrange for items such as furniture to be constructed on site, for which we would make an additional charge, and must be arranged prior to delivery.

WHAT IF I AM GOING TO BE OUT?

If you are going to be out, is there anywhere you would like us to leave your delivery when we arrive? For example, with a neighbour or behind your garage. Please note that all deliveries are left at your own risk.

Refund & Exchange Policy

Although we are committed to selling high-quality products, we hope you will enjoy, there may be times you wish to have a product refunded or exchanged.

Please make sure that you check your items carefully before you leave the  Garden centre, as some discrepancies cannot be rectified after you have left.  We also recommend you keep your receipt, as you will need proof of purchase in the event of any after-sales queries.

The Old Moat Garden Centre reserves the right to ask for proof of purchase in order to consider a request for refund or replacement product.

If your product is faulty or defective in any way, we will issue a full refund upon proof of purchase with a valid receipt along with the return of product (s) in question.

Refunds and exchanges are available (excluding food) providing the goods are returned in their original condition, undamaged with the original labels on and in a saleable condition within 30 days of the date of proof of purchase.

If no receipt is presented, gift vouchers may be given at the manager’s discretion.

All items purchased within Sale must be returned within 14 days of the date on the proof of purchase. We are unable to accept any returns or exchanges without proof of purchase
