Comedy Cafe featuring Eshaan Akbar

  • The Old Moat Garden Centre Horton Lane Epsom KT19 8PQ (map)

For a midweek laughter injection, don’t miss our first ever Comedy Café on Wednesday 2 October at 7.30pm when headline act Eshaan Akbar will be supported by Helen Bauer (Ed Comedy Award Nominee 2019) and Davina Bentley (Leicester Square Comedian Finalist 2018), the evening MC’d by Danielle Grufferty.

Described by The Scotsman as "a fine comic entertainer, an intelligent maker of points and a wealth of fascinating facts", Eshaan Akbar is a fast-rising comedy talent. He has appeared on ‘Frankie Boyle's New World Order’ and ‘Walks of Life’ for the BBC and SKY TV, as well as BBC Radio 4's ‘The Now Show’ and BBC Asian Network, and is a regular on TalkSPORT and LoveSport.

He has written articles for The Guardian, The Times, The Huffington Post, Happiful magazine and others. He is also a former Bollywood dance choreographer.

Eshaan has opened for Micky Flanagan and supported Rory Bremner, Hal Cruttenden, Jan Ravens and Dane Baptiste on tour.

Is there anything he can't do? Yes. He can't tie balloons once he's blown them up. Which made his job as a children's entertainer very short-lived…

Booking is advisable as space is limited - please contact Joy on 07825 052993 or joy.ridley@richmondfellowship.org.uk.
